Arsenal are ‘only a matter of days’ away from completing a club-record deal for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports in France.
L’Equipe claims that the 26-year-old has agreed to join Arsene Wenger’s side and the two clubs are in the final stages of agreeing a transfer fee.
The report claims that Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas, is demanding €60 million (£52.6m) but Arsenal are expected to reach an agreement by including add-ons and bonuses.
The deal will set a new club record transfer for Arsenal, overtaking the £42.4m paid to Real Madrid for Mesut Ozil in September 2013.

On Friday, Aulas confirmed that Lacazette wants to leave Lyon and admitted he would not stand in the striker’s way.
‘Alexandre should have left for Atletico [Madrid], but that could not be done, he wants to leave and we want to keep him, but the decision is not made and recent offers have confirmed his wishes,’ he told AFP.
